Supplemental Educational Services (SES)

BrainWorks Learning Center is a proud provider of Supplemental Educational Services for the state of North Carolina.  BrainWorks, as one of N.C.’s premiere providers of Supplemental Educational Services (SES), has received an outstanding rating from North Carolina’s Department of Public Instruction.  BrainWorks 93% rating for effective and transformative tutoring illustrates what a difference our program makes for participating students.  

 BrainWorks provides SES to students in grades kindergarten through 8th in both reading and math.  Why is the BrainWorks program so effective?  We offer one of the lowest student to tutor ratios in the industry!  This provides for a tremendous amount of individual instruction for each student.  BrainWorks tutors also provide instruction in a format that is exciting and engaging, keeping students interested through educational play, hands on learning manipulatives and interactive learning experiences.  BrainWorks tutors strive to reach each student in a personal way, working to understand their individual learning styles and educational needs.  Tutoring is highly individual and personal, allowing a student to work at their own pace and on concepts that matter most to them.

Students receiving free and/or reduced lunch who attend schools participating in Supplemental Educational Services may qualify to receive this free tutoring from BrainWorks Learning Center.  Eligible students receive this service at no charge, provided on their school campus.   Certified teachers tutor students in accordance to NC public school standards.
